So for all of you out there who think you have the best family... THINK AGAIN!! I seriously can say that I have the best family out there. I love all of them, and they each bring something special to the family. What do they bring? Let me tell you :)
My Dad: My Dad has got to be the most patient person I know. He always puts down whatever he is working on to help us out. You can tell that he loves his family more than anything in the world and is always willing to do things for us. I'm thankful that he provides for us physically, emotionally and spiritually. He has made my testimony where it is today. He is not afraid to talk about the gospel with anyone and is such an example to me.
My Mom: Where do I even start? For those of you who know my mom you might remember her laugh. When she starts to laugh the whole room is laughing. I think I am most like my mom. We laugh at jokes that no one else ever thinks are even funny. I am so thankful that she decided to make her career being a mom. I loved always having her home for us. She also has such a great love for the gospel, many times I go into her room to talk and I see her reading her scriptures and the ensign. She has such a strong testimony and has helped her children with their own.
Steve: Elyse did a good job in picking this kid. Only though he has only been in our family for a year he feels just like a brother to me. He is so motivated and always trying to achieve his goals. I love watching him with kids. He is going to make a great dad. Steve and I clicked right when Elyse and him started dating. He can make me laugh harder than anyone I know. He is always willing to talk to you about what is going on in your life. I'm so glad that Elyse married such a great guy. They are great examples to me and what I'm looking for in a future marriage. Steve is a great guy and we are lucky to have him part of the family now.
Elyse: Elyse is the kindest person I know. She is so patient and willing to help anyone. We had a hard time getting along when we were younger and now I just wonder why. I'm so lucky that I have a sister in my life, and I'm glad that Elyse is such a great one. I love her desire to learn. She is always trying to learn a new skill. I can't wait for her to have her baby. That baby is so blessed to come into such a strong home! I am going to miss her a lot when they move away. When Elyse walks into a room the whole room just lights up. She is beautiful on the inside and out.
Royce: Royce is kind of the quiet one in our family. He loves to give and not be noticed for it. A lot of times I come home from work and he has put something on my bed for me. He is always willing to help. Royce is such a hard worker! I don't know how he does all that he does. I love teasing Royce. We went to a semester of school together and I think we both really learned a lot about each other in that semester. I look up to him a lot, and often times tell people that I want to marry someone just like him. I just have to win the race and get married before him! jk
Dayne: Last but not least. Dayne is just great. I love spending time with this kid. I've done a lot with him the last couple of years because the other kids have been gone. I think that we are a lot alike. We seem to get along almost all of the time. This kid is hilarious! He is always telling jokes or pulling a prank. He is also so compassionate. He hates when people feel left out or are sad. He will always go out of his way to make sure that they are ok and help them to feel better. He is growing up to be such an awesome kid, and I look forward to see who he will become.
Well there it is the porter pack in a nutshell. I really am so grateful for all of them and they have no clue what they mean to me. I was so blessed to be part of this family. I don't know what I did to deserve them, but am grateful they are mine for eternity.
